Welcome to Morning Star Outfitters. We are a three generation outfitting business. In 1985, Joe and his late father, Morning Star, (for more about Max and Morning Star Outfitters) decided to start an outfitting business that would incorporate their Blackfeet traditions of hunting and fishing with the modern need for resource conservation. Our ancestors lived by utilizing our resources in a way that ensured the resource would renew itself. They were taught to just take enough to sustain their life. All of our resources are a part of the living creation and have a right to survive with us. We have no right to harm any other living being, but if we follow the rules of our ancestors the other living beings will offer themselves to us so we can survive. The traditional Blackfeet belief is that good luck is a blessing and gift of the creator, sharing life with us. We do not believe that we have dominion over a trout or ram, anymore than we do blizzards and lightning. We would like to share the unique outdoor recreation opportunities of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation with you. We have introduced anglers from around the world to fly fishing success. Our dogs have pointed thousands of birds for our wing shooting guests. Our horses have carried young and old alike to the high country, and our big game has chosen to give themselves to a select few. We hope you give us the privilege of introducing you to a safe and fun adventure on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. Joe and Kathy Kipp |
